WELCOME TO MY ALBUM ECLECTIC ELECTRIC VOLUME 1!

As the title suggests, this is a collection of musical pieces that tries to demonstrate my somewhat eclectic tastes in music.

You may find some of my influences easy to spot and others not so easy!

I've tried to explain how these tracks came into existence and how they evolved over the period of time it took to make this album. Click on the 'view' button on each of the tracks on the track listing on this page or go to :

about

I’m a sucker for old school riff based guitaring and this first song has its roots firmly planted in the Deep Purple/Led Zeppelin style. When I was a kid at school, a friend invited me hear a record he had bought that day.

I distinctly remember seeing the green and yellow HARVEST label as he placed it carefully on the turntable. The track he played me was ‘SPEED KING’ by Deep Purple and my life changed from that moment on. I blame you Mr Blackmore.

The lyrics are about all the thoughtless people who seem to have no sense of social boundaries and seem to love the sound of their own voices carping on vociferously about things they know very little about. Especially when I’m working. Grr!

Ok, maybe I just shot myself in the foot with that explanation. Maybe it’s about me after all?
Anyway, this track has me on vocals (have mercy on your souls).

lyrics

You walk into the room with an air of self-importance,
Strut around like you own the place.
Handing out opinions like some king without the wisdom.
You think your it, but you’re just a waste of space.
I don’t like to judge a book by its cover

BUT YOU’RE A CREEP, YES A CREEP!

You don’t who you hurt, or who you might offend
Oblivious to the consequences of your words
Your mouth moves and words come out but you don’t see a thing
You look, but you a just a fool.
I don’t like to judge a book by its cover

BUT YOU’RE A CREEP, YES A CREEP!
